Intro

It is a high speed slitting machine designed to make ready to dispatch reels from a range of laminates used in flexible converting, through a precise, automated and highly controlled system. It works on centre winding, with both rewind shafts driven, holding quality from the first metre onward.

Built by Narendra Gravure, the GravoSlit HSS slits delicate structures at 500 metres per minute with clean edges, as a reliable, repeatable and job specific solution today.
Advantages

Key features and benefits

01
500 mpm
High-speed slitting

A high running speed for demanding production, turning parent reels into clean, ready to dispatch reels quickly.

02
A range of laminates
Delicate structures handled with care

Designed for a range of laminates used in flexible converting, with the tension control needed to slit them without damage.

03
Clean edges
Razor-in-groove, razor-in-air or circular cutter

Three slitting methods — razor in groove, razor in air and circular cutter — plus a high pressure suction blower for trim removal keep cuts clean and edges undamaged across the reel.

04
Built in house
Made and proven under one roof

Every GravoSlit HSS is designed, fabricated, assembled and tested on our own VMC, CNC and grinding machines, so the people who built it support it.

One machine, high-speed slitting in line

GravoSlit HSS integrates a floating unwind, driven centre rewinds, razor slitting and trim removal into a single closed loop machine, working as a complete system to hold quality across the run.

Complete GravoSlit HSS build process

01
Specification and technical definition

The project begins with a detailed specification of the machine from Narendra Gravure’s technical office, in coordination with your production team. At this stage the configuration is matched to your substrates and structures, and the mechanical and electrical drawings for in house manufacturing are generated.

02
Manufacturing

The machine is produced through an in house process focused on precision and quality control. Our VMC, CNC and grinding machines ensure repeatability, reliability and a consistent result, reducing deviations compared with bought in assemblies.

03
Installation

Installation is simple and efficient: the machine is commissioned on your floor through an agile and uncertainty free start up, thanks to prior testing and the preparation of drawings and documentation, contributing to a cleaner and safer route into full production.

GravoSlit HSS for your line

It can be integrated into lines developed by third parties. Based on your existing layout, or with support from our technical office, we adapt the machine to slot into your line, ready to install and run.

We analyse the technical fit and define the best way to integrate it, maintaining control over timelines, cost and finished quality.

FAQs
What is GravoSlit HSS built for?

Slitting a range of laminates used in flexible converting into clean, ready to dispatch reels at high speed.

What technologies are built into GravoSlit HSS?

Centre winding with driven rewinds, a floating unwind, razor in groove slitting and closed loop SIEMENS PLC control, with 45 mm plate frames from our own CNC and VMC machines.

How does it protect delicate webs?

A floating unwind, pneumatic side thrust for tension, quick change chucks and razor slitting keep the web steady so cuts stay clean and edges undamaged.

Is GravoSlit HSS supported after installation?

Yes. It is supported directly by Narendra Gravure after installation, with remote diagnostics, spare parts and the same in house team that designed and built the machine.
